Olive Tree Pruning Course
Pruning an olive tree doesn't just mean cutting branches.
It means understanding the plant , respecting its balance, and accompanying it in its growth and production over time.
The Frantoio Masaccio Olive Pruning Course was created to convey a conscious and practical approach to olive grove management, combining agronomic knowledge and direct experience in the field .
A training program designed for those who want to care for their olive trees methodically, avoiding random or harmful interventions, and learning to truly understand the tree's structure.

No previous skills are required: the course is structured to be accessible but rigorous .
Course structure
The course is divided into two meetings , for a total of approximately 6 hours , divided between theory and practice.
Theoretical part
During the first meeting, the fundamental principles of pruning will be addressed:
- physiology and structure of the olive tree
- balance between vegetation and production
- reading the plant and recognizing the branches
- intervention criteria and pruning objectives
The theoretical part is guided by the agronomist Paolo Mori , with a clear, concrete approach oriented towards a real understanding of the plant.
Practical part in the field
In the second meeting we move on to action:
- direct observation of plants
- demonstration of correct interventions
- practical pruning test
- comparison and questions on the field
